She’s done it again … !!!

Maria Dolores Jimenez, a councillor for the conservative Popular Party in Lepe, Huelva, south west Spain, caused a controversry in January when she posed nude for a local magazine. She said she agreed to the pictures "to provoke". But now she’s gone one step further and she appears this week nude on the cover of Interviu, the country’s most sensationalist magazine.

Jimenez, 35, an engineer posed for the local magazine ‘Lepe Urbana’ several months ago, but with an election around the corner obviously feels the need for a bit more publicity, and this time it’s in full colour.



When Jimenez posed for the pictures in the local cultural magazine Lepe Urbana in January of this year, they provoked a rare show of political unity. The Mayor, also from the Popular Party said it was a "strictly personal" affair which had nothing to do with Jimenez's political career. Whilst members of the opposition parties were all in favor of the photos. One female Socialist member of the Council at the time described the photos as “tasteful”.

There is a certain amount of speculation about the timing of this second excursion into the world of pin-up photography. With one month to go before Municipal Elections, many are seeing this as a great publicity stunt on the part of Maria.

Needless to say that when the current issue of the magazine hit the newsstands on Monday morning, it was an instant sellout, especially along the coast of Huelva. The story has been covered not only by local media but also by national and even international press and television.

In the interview that accompanies the new photos she said that she is not a rebel and claims the only reason people are interested in her is that she is a member of the normally strictly conservative Popular Party. She told the magazine that her favourite part of her body was her mouth, though "people always look at my eyes"and added that it’s no effort for her to take her clothes off and she loves doing so. She said that thanks to Interviú she has discovered something she has been looking for for a long time – ‘the erotica of power’.
It remains to be seen if that power transforms into votes in one month.
